Japan is very competitive market and it doesn't help YG don't focus on it at all. Half of the album is english which japanese usually are not that much into, hell they are not that much into girl crush in general, bp have been like the exception.

Also they didn't have full tracking there and songs usually rise after 1st day

For full albums these numbers are very close to bts debuts in the 30-40m range for first day. The likes of bad bunny and drake debut with 150m.
