IMO the only real challenger to IU in SK is Yoo Jae Suk. I have a feeling YJS would win if he ever directly challenged her.

They were both participating in Infinite Challenge Music Festival (8-9 episodes).

really? what kdrama/kmovie are you watching?
Really, but I like her mostly for her personality and beauty. IU has great personality and is extrememy beautiful as well, but hell, even the senior singer said that Han Jimin is the prettiest actress in Korea. Plus, Han Jimin donated for Ukraine which means a lot to me since I'm Russian.
I watched my first kdrama 9 years ago, it was Rooftop Prince with Han Jimin. Recently I rewatched it and the series turned up to be much more interesting than I remembered!
Then I decided to take a look at her other works, she was great in all of them, so far, I watched:
- Miss Baek (movie)
- The Plan Man (movie)
- Salut d'Amour (movie)
- The light in your eyes (drama)
Her most outstanding performance was in Miss Baek, she won every possible award for that role, but the movie is quite heavy emotionally

I don't think IU is coming back this year, at best some feature or a fan service single/content.

If she is going to promote "Dream", as she is doing with "Broker", the chances of releasing music are very low.
Or maybe an OST for "Dream" itself, that would be interesting.
It's been 12 years since she sang an ost for her own drama
(If you don't count the HDL unreleased song).So probably there won't be any IU song this year
