While you're saying makes sense, when it's someone's job and livelihood to produce/make/distribute music one would imagine they'd be more careful about who and where their product is going to. All I'm saying is it's incredibly stupid to put your wallet in someone else's hand and trust them to do right with it. Most of this could've easily been avoided if people actually communicated with each other directly and followed through.

So I guess Hybe got what they deserve. Sorry for those BTS guys though for believing the staff can do their jobs.

I think the guy must have had help from someone on the inside, or he must have hacked the accounts of all the producers inside or something. Because he knows which producers are working with which songs and members, and thus he knows which members/producers he can use.

I'm sure they did. But you have to remember finding a spy amongst your ranks is very very difficult even worse when the person isn't even amongst you and you find out its an outsider. This type of revelation upheaval shakes up any confidence you once had. This happened to HYBE and the members. Imagine being Suga and telling this dude stuff thinking hes one of yours. He's done this with hybe staff its third party affiliates and the BTS members directly. Hes successfully fooled everyone. Besides jail time he needs to be taken in and studied you need to learn how he did it to prevent it from happening again. Hybe already had alot of security etc yet this dude walked over it like it was nothing.

And the man is so confident that he tries to do the same thing even though he knows there is an investigation. Yup, HYBE should really upgrade security. Because the theft of Jimin's personal tax information and mail, the leak of Tae and Jennie's private pictures, and the leak of unreleased songs using Suga and Tae's name indicate a major security vulnerability.

This person is a professional at social engineering. He knows how to convince people. Read the article again he also impersonated the other person and contacted yoongi himself and got him to send him stuff too so it's not just bighit that got tricked

Yes, but the problem is that the man had already been leaking the stolen files on Twitter and Instagram for a while. They should have realized there was already a thief out there long before this got to 10+ songs.

10 unreleased guide sound files wtf???? How does "A" impersonates Taehyung and Yoongi? via chat? phone? and how can the producer tell so much important information so easily without checking? Bighit is the real problem here. :rant-bee:

A man in his 20s is standing trial for impersonating BTS V and Suga and stealing confidential information. ‘A man in his 20s who impersonated members of the group BTS was sentenced to prison in the first trial.

On the 19th, Criminal Division 27 of the Seoul Central District Court (Judge Ham Hyun-ji) sentenced Mr. A (29), who was indicted on charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, to one year in prison.

Mr. A is accused of approaching producer B as if he were BTS' Suga from August to September 2022 and receiving unreleased guide music.

In November of the same year, it was discovered that he contacted Suga by impersonating Mr. B and collected information related to albums and military service related to the time of enlistment.

Mr. A is also accused of impersonating V and receiving more than 10 unreleased guide sound files from other producers.

The court said, “There was a possibility that the victims and the affected company would suffer significant financial and social damage due to Mr. A’s actions,” and “It appears that the victims who passed on undisclosed information suffered significant psychological damage.”

In particular, Mr. A has a history of being sentenced to prison in the past for crimes using the same and some similar methods, and he committed the same crime while being investigated and tried for the same crime, so the court judged that the crime was "not good."

Mr. A is said to have participated in the song production process of a famous idol group in the past. He filed an appeal against the first trial ruling.” In addition, suspicions of unauthorized theft of information related to the release of albums of the agency that were not released to the public, unreleased sound source information, personal information and personal information of the affiliated singers, and schedules were also identified.

The court predicted a high possibility of property and social damage to the victims and the affected company due to Mr. A's actions, and said, "It appears that the victims have suffered significant psychological damage." In particular, Mr. A was reprimanded for having been sentenced to prison in the past for crimes similar to the method of the crime in question, saying, "The damage has not been recovered at all and he has not been forgiven by the victims."

However, the reasons for sentencing were explained based on the fact that Mr. A is currently showing a remorseful attitude and that Mr. A's family is committed to leading the way. Mr. A is dissatisfied with the first trial ruling and has filed an appeal.

BOP! What the hell that was so good! The plot, the cinematography, the acting, the song... I love MVs that tell a story and this was beautifully done. It was a whole movie in 5 minutes. Probably one of the best mvs in recent years. The song is nice and the mv elevates it. We were robbed of a kiss scene. :cryingk:
