that sums it up pretty well
I like my father and my brother in law but I don't trust them on any societal issues (sucks that I suck on presenting arguments )

It's something to have a thread like that made by a man lol (not that you can't, just find it funny)
I get what you mean tho. I won't stop ulting my groups but I'm not delusional to a point and if there's something happening leading me to believe their values aren't great/something in that area, I won't fight much, especially if there's no room for improvement.
Well the question is about talent so yeah he has talent but it's more about the production, the stage presence and the rapping. But his tone is grating and that extract really is not it. The others praising it like that make it worse.
I think he reached a sort of legendary status that makes people approve him easily even if it's not that good. And good day, from afar looks more like a gd praise fest than a regular show about the guests.
love their japanese tracks! Yum is nice, I like that they have an addictive part but that it's not the entire chorus and that the chorus is overall nice.
On a completely other style, I love "I do, do you", it's the best kind of cute pop (a bit Twice like but not like a copy)
It's Jade from Little Mix, I like her solo stuff!
I love it it goes in my playlists obviously but if I had to do a motivational / don't breakdown one i'd add it there (some of txt's osts and japanese songs works well too)
Also a 3:25 song with a bridge in a Hybe group nowadays is so rare it's absurd (and what a bridge)
Interesting better buy them now before the tariffs hit
business is business!
Display Moreif you don't like the sharing of cultures, then you probably shouldn't involve yourself in kpop. do you guys realize how many aspects of kpop are taken from other cultures?
it is so clear they are having a hiphop themed party. yes hiphop is a predominantly black genre, but there are many other races involved that contribute as well. to say they are mocking black people themselves is ridiculous. not all black people act like/are involved in the sort of lifestyle kiof are portraying.
i think if you are from another country and are going to indulge in foreign entertainment like kpop, you should not expect them to adopt your worldviews.
this sort of thinking that everything is offensive/appropriation/mockery is a totally new and american concept. you cannot expect people who align themselves with another culture, like korean, to accept that. nor should you expect them to. these are the same people complaining kpop is becoming too americanized, i wonder why?
Both Belle and Julie were raised in the US until 8 and 13 respectively. Above that, kpop has largely been inspired by black people, music first and then in terms of looks. Also it's not an isolated issue but several at once and the members being like "oops don't leave the fandom", like they are self aware it's not gonna do well.
Kpop stans can be sensitive when it comes to culture but it IS possible to do cultural appreciation and most of the time it's not called out unlike when you're turning cultures into jokes like with this instance or for example the curry song that was popular in SK.
Ignorance can happen but at one point, we shouldn't infantilize idols and companies like they know nothing
i'll die at the concert on sunday so let me keep my insanity until then! (finally seeing them after 6 years )
It's absolutely funny to me that people find him or his dancing controversial like you really have to dig out there to find reasons to hate him
It's ok to not be a fan of his dancing style or some of the moves, but the lengths some people go to astound me
And the "but ggs get hate" is so old, when most of the hate comes from the same people hating on yj or other bgs
they say stay connected for more infos so might be more posts lol, this is funny
Still a bop and a half but at least now it's officially out
B like Bop, like Banger, like nailing that Bob
loved it
I'm wondering tho does it sample something? It's very euro dance but that beat seems familiar to me
I always found it to be the worst idea. It's basically an "unpopular opinion thread" from twitter and that's not a compliment at all.
As said above, no accountability makes people say crazy things and that's something considering wild things can be said even publicly here and on other platforms.
There's no way a single one of the things said on this type of thread will be constructive or remotely interesting anyway so yeah, no point.
Yeonjun with ggum, people got wild when it was out
I actually think it's interesting (whether you like it or not) when they do something that's wildly different
i live for this era of bangers you could here in a club or a ballroom
