On more positive notes though, the lyrics are definitely better than The Feels. Their English pronunciation has improved a lot as well

I really doubt it's Mina because seeing she's already part of Misamo unit so i can't see jype giving a certain member so much more opportunity than others. Guessing it'd be between Jihyo and Chaeyoung unless Jihyo's hints were just for her OSTs?

I enjoy both but IYG for nostalgic and iconic/legendary status reasons (so many groups have covered it).

Hmm J and Yoona I could see. I feel they're actually on the more "choding" and girl next door side while Mina has much more feminine and elegant vibe.

While it's hard to make cross-generation comparisons tbh and they're both very popular in their own generation, what I'll say is idk if 7 years from now there would be discussions after discussions made about whether or not XYZ group is as popular as NewJeans in 2023. I can still see discussions being made about 2016's Twice vs. other GGs in years to come. That's the difference, imo.
