Yes, but the obsessive stans tend to be the ones who devote their whole lives and all of their money to their chosen idol/group.

SK's libel laws are so strict that even with proof people can be successfully sued for defamation and shut up. So I don't know why the company doesn't just do that. Also why trolls would be so invested that they would risk it.

OK so the part of the classmates story about her not knowing about the chalkboard and insisting it was cleaned up once she saw it - was a big old lie.

That doesn't mean it was all lies, but I wish the defending statements wouldn't always make them out to be an angel on earth. She thought dicks on the class chalkboard was funny, it's not the end of the world. But going overboard in her defense makes it all look sus.

Blinks were trying to boycott Blackpink merch. Then YG announces a gold Lisa vinyl and it sells out within 5 minutes. Very cynical. They know what they're doing.

I have issues with the photobooks too. They use so many pictures we've already seen. There were so many candids of Vince and Loren at TBL, but almost none of her members. Lisa would not have left Jennie out. I think again that was a cynical move by YG. They love to pit their female artists against each other. (2NE1 fans are all love and peace now but that wasn't the case when they were active.) I don't believe Lisa is curating her own photobooks. And I don't know why, because it's not like she's too busy, and she has an interest in photography.

I think there's an element of men always getting more autonomy at that company.

But also it was around DDDD/Forever Young that Blackpink started bringing in ridiculous amounts of money. I'm convinced Forever Young was supposed to have a MV because of the random photobook that came out a few months later not attached to any date or occasion, which was clearly the concept and the styling for that MV. But DDDD was so successful YG didn't need the extra promo.

And that's the difference. Treasure are successful but clearly not as much as YG want/need them to be, so they'll keep pushing them trying to make it happen. I also think YG hates Blinks (the protest truck pioneers) and won't give them anything for free.
