Display MoreNot to start a fan war, but pop artists in the West do the bare minimum compared to Kpop Idols, aside from Beyoncé I can't think of any West pop artists that would be able to handle the process that the trainees of Kpop go through.
I know that it's in to be "relatable", and that the concept of the super star no longer exists in America but can we at least put some talent on the stage?
Look at the likes of Mariah Carey too lazy to write her music, properly perform or sing live because she's a studio singer at best and she can't even keep her voice because she drinks too damn much. And then there's Rihanna, for someone who barely "writes" her music, there is no reason for her to be keeping her fans waiting this long for her new album despite promising fans in 2019 that it'd be release.
This would never be allowed for Idols in Kpop.
