fierce competition with new girl groups

  • Aespa's success blew up with Next level last year but as new girl groups debut the competition is getting more fierce and the gap getting smaller.

Ive and le_sserafim are a force to be reckoned with

    Approved the thread.
  • And to think we still have Ador, I-land Girl Group, and YGNGG on the way. The competition isn't even close to finish yet.

  • they debuted in 2019 they are 4th generation Op probably meant new releases

Oh I thought they weren't on the list because they were 3rd gen. My bad, aren't they supposed to be the biggest 4th gen group especially internationally? Surprised that they aren't on the list at all.

  • Yeah the competition will be crazy. Theres still ygngg, ador and iland and we might even get some wild cards if a nugu gg get rollin recognition

  • When we crown who the winner is, would they have to take on the current champ?

  • besides physicals, there's no fierce competition, its only just aespa and ive, itzy if you take internationally somewhat but mostly aespa and ive. I need idle to see how they follow up to give them a digimon title and they need to rake up their physicals game.

  • I'd give a slight edge to Aespa/Ive for now but things look fluid. However, if SM doesn't change their music direction, it'll be Ive's to lose. Idle has no company stans, Produce members, nor enough of a Japanese presence to fight on the physical front. Their Indonesian streaming also lag way behind others. I think StayC has a chance for top4 or so in Korea.

The others need to up their charting or they're going to look more like boygroups.
