Is Blackpink the only 3rd gen gg that can keep up with 4th gen ggs?

I would say red velvet but they are just inconsistent, hit one year flop the next 2 lol

But for real seems like bp is the only gg that can match 4rh gen gg chart performance and general trendiness

With RV, isn’t RV latest album sell a lots compre to 4th gen one. I mean to sell that high in their 8th year with a lots of new 4th gg debut, it is very OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT. For the song, if sm continue using a mid tempo song for them. They will definitly continue eat up digital charts..

RV is doing nice BP might do good as well but they need a CB

Not sure if this is true, or complete.

When you check multiple top searched female K-pop artists for 2021 and the past months for google, youtube, Naver, etc you'll find not only BP members in the top but also RV members like Irene and Joy, and even Oh My Girl like Arin.

Same for brand and popularity rankings, you'll also often see gg members from 3rd gen groups like Red Velvet, Oh My Girl and such.

And Gallup 2021 show 5 3rd gen girl groups in their list (BP, TWICE, RV, OMG, BG) and only 1 4th gen gg (Aespa).

When it comes to charting in SK, Oh My Girl's last comeback might have charted badly, but their songs before were top hits for 2 years. Same for Red Velvet, their past 3 comebacks charted very well.

Even in album sales, Red Velvet show their outstanding rank, with the 2nd highest album sales for a girl group in hanteo with their last comeback.

And let's not forget TWICE. Even if their charting in South Korea might be mediocre these days, when it comes to album sales and international popularity and digitals, they easily equal if not surpass most of the top 4th gen girl groups.
