I have an upcoming assignment which is worth a third of the final grade. We come to school dressed up as a historical character (or one that is still alive) and narrate their story in first person (I did, I was born, etc.).
I chose Margaret Hamilton. She worked in NASA and was the first female software engineer. Her main contributions are that she pioneered software engineering as a valid career, since it wasn't considered an actual occupation in the 70's and 80's, and invented the term "software engineering". She programmed all the software used in the Apollo 11 mission and was one of the main contributors to it's success, as well as one of the only women participating in the mission.
I don't know if she's interesting enough but I do really like her character. There's still time to choose another one so I would appreciate suggestions or thoughts
