Advice with my homework pls

  • I have an upcoming assignment which is worth a third of the final grade. We come to school dressed up as a historical character (or one that is still alive) and narrate their story in first person (I did, I was born, etc.).

I chose Margaret Hamilton. She worked in NASA and was the first female software engineer. Her main contributions are that she pioneered software engineering as a valid career, since it wasn't considered an actual occupation in the 70's and 80's, and invented the term "software engineering". She programmed all the software used in the Apollo 11 mission and was one of the main contributors to it's success, as well as one of the only women participating in the mission.

I don't know if she's interesting enough but I do really like her character. There's still time to choose another one so I would appreciate suggestions or thoughts :send-love-bunny:

  • i never heard about her, but it sounds inspiring...

the important thing is that you make interesting for other people to hear about

but if you want another choices i could say Hedy Lamarr, but it is a difficult one to dress up cos she was hella Beautiful and we all mortals women are not worthy haha.

Now seriously she had a sad personal life, was a hollywood actris and also was the inventor of frequency-hopping technology  :pepe-loop:

  • She was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Obama in 2016.Worthy woman. I think it's a good choice.I read a good essay about her that was written by a studyessay writer. It inspired me to find out more about her, and I was amazed at her achievements in software engineering.
