i think neutrality doesn't exist in kpop fandoms, unless you're a casual fan or it's about something incredibly bad... the most you can be is a decent stan.
i'll be the first one to defend my faves for a lot of things (certain things are off limits), but open minded to accept the truth when proven and that's pretty much the most you can ask for.
i think it's just hard to keep an open mind from the beginning with kpop culture. literally no idol is safe from hate & criticism when they get accused of something. there's always a fandom or gp ready to drag the idol bc of some fanwar or scandal in the past, even before the accusations are proven true/false. being neutral & waiting for the whole story is difficult when you see how much others are already treating your fave as proven guilty. however, in the perfect world this would be the standard.
