    according to the trailer the antagonist of the movie is Shanks daughter, her name is "Uta" (song), she is a singer / idol, the last part of the trailer... very out of character for Shanks

    is going to be interesting seeing the interaction between her and Luffy, not only both are around the same age but both are connected to Shanks, despite being her daughter she was abandoned by Shanks while on contrast he sacrificed his arm to save Luffy, gave him his hat (which was stated to be his biggest treasure) and even told him to come meet him again

    yeah, seems like a huge piece of info to simply drop in a movie, i kinda hate how even in the manga we still don't know much about Shanks and we need to watch a movie which we still don't if it is canon or not to find out more about him


    in any case i recall that Bullet, the antagonist of the previous movie, was stated to be a member of the Roger pirates but when Oda did the flashback on them he was nowhere to be seen, i wonder if she is going to also be "forgotten"

    This new add only makes sense if she will be a permanent character on the main anime afterwards. Otherwise it makes no sense to introduce her just to be an antagonist in a movie that might not be connected to the original canon.

    Shanks is my favorite One Piece character and we still haven't learned anything about him :wilds: I personally thought One Piece story would be a lot more fun if Shanks or Gol D. Roger had the lead roles in the anime time to time at least. :thumbup:
