Why don’t Hwasa have more hardcore fans?

  • She’s had the most solo hits in Mamamoo, yet her sales are below Wheein. Performance wise, she’s known as the Korean Beyonce but I also don’t see a lot of people hyping her up here or Twitter either.

  • Mamamoo's reputation was very good, but mostly they were adored in South Korea a lot, less so outside of South Korea.

From what I understand, other members were more popular within the fanbase itself than Hwasa, while Hwasa was more loved by the general public than the other members.

Based on the reactions of some Moomoos, looks like they liked Moonbyuls personality in variety more, while they found Solar more charming and a stan attractor.

But for the same reason you could ask 'why does the general public like Hwasa more?'

There'll always be some members that are more liked by the group's fans and some that are more liked by the general public, for a wide variety of reasons.

  • What's going on with her? She seems to have gone awol this year.

  • I think because many people who listen to her aren't mamamoo fans so they're bout to be less invested

  • She is more of a it girl character with the general public, her variety show appreances do well and the things she’s advertises sell out, so she’s generally popular in that regard. Because her image focuses on those aspects rather than building a big fandom she has the least hardcore Stan’s in mamamoo.

Ex. She has the most articles/hot searches usually about things she’s wearing/eating etc but she has less album sales due to less fandom power/more general popularity,
