I got into k-pop into 2015 ,a classmate of mine and a friend of hers had been a fan since 2011(I think?). The thing is that the friend of hers told me that Tiffany was Japanese and SM then tried to hide it, she told me that only the old fans knew the information and that really made me feel annoyed. She said with too much conviction that I felt dumb... 
She and my classmate were blackjacks and boy group stan while I was becoming a baby sone, they really tried to penetrate me a with a lot of groups, but I ended up liking the ones that they never showed me(cute girl groups, especially). Lol.
