Why are taeyeon's youtube and spotify numbers so bad?

    where are the company stans? where is her international fanbase? INVU is a hit but the yt views are struggling at 20 million 6 weeks after release

    Taeyeon is 33.


    Most of her fans are working adults with lives, work and families.


    They don't have time to stream like 3rd and 4th gen fankids still in school or college/uni.

    She is only big in Korea, I think this is known.

    Taeyeon's a solo artist. Even the biggest Korean solo artists don't do that great internationally compared with the biggest Korean groups (case in point, IU).


    Unless you're still part of an active group that's also popular internationally, then you'll have the fans of your active group support you too.


    But Korean solo artists as a general rule will never do as well as Korean groups can do.

    Ifans don't want to admit it but ifans are less loyal than kfans. They will hopping to the latest trendy groups therefore i don't get ot if company pushing the group to international market instead of korean market because they will fall harder later when new trendy groups comes in.

    A better question is why should they be good when not even younger and more recent acts under the same company get good streams there?

    If you just want to simp like a nerdy fanboy over hotties you'd be a JYP stan coz their idols can't sing so you can only just look.

    What K-pop solo artists are currently doing it better than Taeyeon? Show the numbers.

    The only ones that might beat her are those from groups that are still active.


    Also, company stans is a myth. That only helps with album sales (see NMIXX). Not with digitals.

    cuz most of her fans are grown people already and also SM artists spotify numbers never been huge not even aespa can do it. I think it's RV the ones that are taking the crown there at least

    Ignorants expect every big company and every group to get BTS and BP views, but not only are no SM groups AND no JYP groups getting those numbers, also no other HYBE groups and YG groups are getting those views BTS and BP get.

    IU's monthly spotify and youtube streams are still higher than taeyeon's even though she hasn't had a proper comeback since last year. and IU was never known for her international fans.

    iu is pure soloist. and her spotify no. And youtube no. are still higher than taeyeon without any proper comback since last Year. she sold 400k+album last year
