Anyone boasting and saying how badass and the baddest female they are is way too try-hard.
It's like constantly saying 'look how cool I am!'.
Eh, no, someone simply is cool by the things they do and how they are. If they go around saying it about themselves, then rather the opposite is the case.
Same for badass.
You don't say about yourself that you're such a badass and the baddest female, you simply are the baddest by what you do and how you are.

There's a difference when being on stage of when it's said in a MV, performance or song.
As soon as people are claiming it as part of their real character and start quoting it or saying it outside of those in a non-self mocking way but as a badge of pride, then yeah, it enters try-hard area.
It's certainly not badass, baddest female, cool or boss anymore then.
