i respect and appreciate every opinion and taste but voting for mismatched forum and group badges

it’s a more interesting colour palette than pink but as a badge for a group logo the background pic is too busy and it drowns out the actual group name/logo on top and makes it almost illegible. The colour for the group name/logo also doesn’t help in that aspect. I mean if this is simply a random pic to make a badge set then that’s not a concern but since it’s to represent a group and bear their name on it imo it’s important that the badge actually shows what group this is supposed to be and isn’t just here to look pretty lol

What about #2? The logo is easily distinguishable but it's still more unique than badge #3. Plus the color scheme works better. The black logo looks so harsh against the pastel pink background. #2 looks more cohesive.
#1 is still my fave but oh well -
yeah the sharp black logo on top of the pink isn’t my cup of tea either but since it was the cleanest looking badge i picked it as a general rule of thumb lol. Might switch to 2 tho bc it does look better on revision. I was concerned that some white parts in the background of #2 might coincide with the logo and i’m just generally peeved by that lol but it does look more cohesive than 3 at least

I actually like that the bg pics are slightly different. They're similar enough that you can tell they go together but not the exact same (which can be a bit boring)

oh I don’t mind that they’re different. I actually wish group and fandom badges were all different from each other if possible lol. I just don’t like the specific #2 badge with the glaring white logo and equally glaring background pic. The one with the darker tone and more interesting bg simply looks better in every way. If the other badge could look different AND still aesthetically pleasing then that’s the best scenario lol
