Who do you think would be in a better position: BTS in YG or Blackpink in Hybe?

Who do you think would be more benefited in this scenario?

probably bts in YG

the company is incredibly vile, but they treat their artists pretty well (or they wouldn't resign so much)

if YG would still let them produce their own music (which i think they would & is the biggest factor that makes bts), they know how to spend money on MV's, they know how to mediaplay the huge achievements bts make,..

BP in hybe wouldn't work

they would be releasing a lot more frequently, but since they would depend on hybe's producers, their concept & music would clash. Hybe would probably also be too focused on the group & not let them have all those solo activities (individual ambassadors, solo albums, acting,..) which is half their brand.

Bts in yg. Yg would worship them

No sense wondering about what ifs.

Blackpink in HYBE.

BTS in YG would probably revert back to their older and better concepts, but do the tweenies want that?

Bp in hybe would lose their spark, the girl crush, fashion, yg sound

Bts in yg would probably be more limited musically as yg has to approve of everything. (Teddy and bp had to push hard for d4, and yg didn’t even want love senario)

I don’t think yg would have let them do those poppy English songs either

Really both groups would lose what ppl love so much abt them musically without their current companys

yg's management as a whole is whack aka bts wouldn't be releasing half of the content they're currently releasing as a group. BUT they'll still have creative control and freedom to do more individual schedules without necessarily being tied with the brand "bts" iykwim. it opens the doors for creating an individual image and individual legacy for the members which is great and something not many companies offer as an opportunity.

while blackpink in hybe...

i can't say much because hybe has never had a girl group close to the rank of blackpink while the groups they had... well they didn't end very well. all of their ggs either disbanded (glam, gfriend) or are nugus (fromis_9). we don't have a base for comparison to know how they'll manage them and what type of creative freedom/freedom in solo activities they'll have. but from hybe's history with ggs we can conclude it might be a catastrophe... i hope sakura and chaewon's group will prove me wrong

Blackpink are who they are for being under YG, I don't see another company being able to create a group like bp. If you mean bp moving to hybe after they debuted, hybe could try to keep their old image (with or without success) but their sound would change, though they would be promoted better.

BTS in yg: they would have less comebacks, a lot of less content so maybe a less dedicated fandom, they wouldn't have a lore/storyline. The only benefit is members could do more solo stuff.

if they had bts as they are now, probably the biggest act atm, i don't see them shelfing them so much (certainly not when they are men). agree, they would have less non music content, but the members are a lot more willing to start a Vlive on their own or chat on insta/weverse for a bit with their fans when they want to

only thing i'm thinking of atm is that yg probably wouldn't let them release so much free music on soundcloud or as free mixtapes.. they wouldn't ignore such a monetary possibility & they would probably make all the members release it as an official release rather than a cute gift

They do the same with each group i don't think it'd be different with bts, their bgs get the same treatment when it comes to regular comebacks. BP are the biggest gg atm and it looks like the breaks between cbs are getting longer with each comeback, I'd not expect much from yg

true, having no expectations for yg is the best

however, i always thought they did give bb timely cb's (except maybe for the one thats upcoming)?

Hybe in BP would be doomed theyd not give them same concept which is their identity and girls won't have solo promo at all.

Bts in yg might do well or even better with solo promo but their audience will be different.
