I don't feel any hype surrounding Blackpink these days

I am kinda scared they aren't really that hyped up anymore and fans and gp are tired. I don't doubt that their k-charting won't be as good as they were before plus even it feels like so many fans have moved on and there are more solo stans waiting for their biases to go their separate ways.

Just wait until their comeback and stay strong in the meantime. They don’t have the ability to flop. I’m not expecting massive hype like in 2020 but that’s okay since they’ll do numbers anyway.

They have been inactive for how long,they will get lot of hype again once they are having a comeback.

Why are you expecting hype over a group that it's on +15 months hiatus?

I don't see hype in 90% of kpop groups that are releasing song this year and this should be the "problem" no? Not an inactive group.

I am a fan of the group actually although I am not that invested like I was before and what's wrong with me being concerned about them not having the normal bp level of hype like they usually do. If you are so mad at this, then ignore.

Other ggs are making a lot of buzz now and the competition is incredibly fierce. The "more with less" type of thing used to work but now that there's so many new and different ggs to pay attention that get successful each day YG is being incredibly stupid and negligent to think that this strategy will work forever. I still think they will have at least 2 more super successful cbs if YG really respect them as a group.

My theory is that the negligence towards BP in favor of Baemon is already happening, similar to the detriment of EXO in favor of NCT or even 2ne1 in favor of BP itself. There's a big chance BP's next cb will feel like a SNSD "Holiday" if things keep this pace. As long as it isnt like 2ne1 "Goodbye" its fine I guess.

You summed up exactly what I wanted to say. I don't think its a strategy though more like yg is lazy and they just don't care anymore certainly not for a gg. Bp will definitely do well internationally but they are playing with fire(no pun intended) when it comes to korea.

bp are too big, they are at the same situation like bts, any song they release will do well, maybe they will lose some hype in 4/5 years but it's too early for that yet. The real 4th gen competition is for ygngg, bp are too established

They're literally preparing for a comeback now, and it will be one of the main events of KPop 2022.
