They’re on another level quite literally. Aespa has secured their top spot in 4th gen at least in top 3 with all their success in a short time. Also they set the pace for girl groups after them, before Savage no girl group was beating Blackpink’s debut sales but now every new girl group is after Aespa is. They even have groups mimicking their discography and music lol💀

twice topped year end charts. All the polls. Had better sales than 90% boygroups of that time. Loa + cheer up + tt are bigger than black mamba + next level + savage. Twice had japan in their chokehold in their debit year. Aespa are just another kpop group outside korea.

Aespa will go down as the great rookie debut ever. It is only uphill from now....and in a few years time they will cement their place as the greatest kpop girlgroup in history.

back then in 2016 was difference than now, Twice didnt really have anyone to compete with, didnt see any IU, BTS, BP songs on the year end chart in 2016 because they were not as big as they are today and now aespa has to face them.

Twice had way less competition. They also went with a tried and tested younger version of SNSD (ultimate girl group) and took advantage of their absence.

Aespa's releases all coincided with either BTS or IU releases (not even mentioning the likes of NCT, Itzy etc), and went full experimental craziness and slayed it.

Zico any song was #1 in 2020. Bts, iu both had releases in 2020. Love scenario and really×2 was #1 and both groups are not digimons of the same quality like iu, bts, bigbang. Rolling was #2 last year and brave girls weren't even recognisable before that. Gaon year end #1 doesn't depend on recognition. It depends on the song and virality.

If aespa were bigger than twice in their rookie year then they should have done better than twice did in 2016. Twice had 3 entries in top 26 in 2016. Aespa's 2nd best entry is at #84.
