How did Shindong debut?

    Spill….in reality the companies who care most about looks are JYPE and YGE. JYPE literally debuts groups who are 90% visuals with little talent and the one time YG debuted unconventional looking girls he couldn’t stop publicly bashing their looks.


    At least Lee Sooman has never called Amber/Shindong ugly….to the entire media.

    He dances well, good in variety and is responsible for handling a lot of performance stuff like choreography. He has more talent than most idols these days who debut but barely able to pass as a singer

    Sis YG literally went on national TV and called 2ne1 ugly and later highly praised SNSD for their looks. He even talked about contestants weight and looks on a singing competition show. You can't get more obvious than that.


    Saying YG don't care about looks is as delusional as it comes.

    Were you just calling all YG groups and artists ugly?

    After his statements and professed jealousy and adoration of SNSD he debuted Blackpink, a group of pretty girls doing his style of music which was his wish.


    Aside from that, none of the other big companies debuted an overweight guy like Shindong or a tomboy-type idol like Amber for their idol groups, which should already be telling enough. Namely that even if their company might care about looks too, if you have the particular talents they're looking for then it won't matter and you get the chance to debut anyway.
