so apparently over the last few days Professor Keaji and I were discussing numbers and it turns out that we (being from different countries) use different methods of separating decimals and group numbers
so for example whilst I from Australia would use 100,000 to represent one hundred thousand (comma)
keaji said she would use 100.000 to represent the same one hundred thousand (decimal)
furthermore with respect to small numbers it would be opposite
like I would use $10.57 to represent ten dollars and fifty seven cents (decimal)
whereas keaji said she would use $10,57 to represent the same ten dollars and fifty seven cents (comma)
apparently it's an european v US/UK/Aust thingy and both are acceptable lol
