is it safe to say that omg is doing better than rv in korean charting?

omg’s songs are outliving rv’s in the long run.

i think omg popularity in korea is truly underestimated by ifans.

I don't know if they surpassed rv, but if they did and a korean can confirm this to me, I wouldn't be surprised at all. Omg is one of the very very few groups who seem to be genuinely loved by the gp without much mediaplay or buzz. They steadily grew their fandom over the years and in the end their persistance paid off.

Even twice and mamamoo

They are up there with Brave Girls and Blackpink at the very top. Nonstop, Dolphin and Dun Dun Dance rank in the top 10 of girl group releases since 2020.

They've a really big fandom in korea whenever I watch the street interviews of Korean public or some variety show they always mention OMG as their favourite group.

Even more, OMG are even outdoing TWICE charting right now.

Then again, TWICE charting has been abominable the past year or 2.

they replaced twice

After a 2nd thought, actually Red Velvet hadnt been doing that bad at all, surprisingly. In the last 2 years they only had 2 releases as a group, and 1 of them was nothing special but the other one was the no 1 girl group song on Gaon 2020 digital chart.

Of the old 3rd gen girl group Top 5 (BP-TWICE-RV-GFriend-MMM) only Blackpink have been doing better on Gaon.

TWICE and Mamamoo charting with their latest releases as a group on the other hand...

Oh My Girl are like South Korea's house girlgroup, like a restaurants house wine. Not the most famous option, but liked enough by locals to be permanently on the menu.
