Kpop "Pop Perfection" Songs. AKA Channeling Carly Rae Jepsen
Carly Rae Jepsen has many hits that I would classify as "pop perfection". It's a certain kind of pop song that is almost unabashedly "classic" in its infectious pop construction. It's a feeling. Hard for me to describe in words, but perhaps point you to an example. Think her song Emotion. Perhaps my favorite Carly song. Or better known her number one hit Call Me Maybe
It's the kind of pop song that strives for simple pop simplicity. And the nirvana that follows when you hit it.
Every once in a while a song in kpop comes out an I think.... "Pop perfection"...
Something about it just has that feel of an true "pop song". And when it lands it's sooo great.
