It was a whole thing. The shortest cancellation in history of SK. They dropped him from everything, every commercial, etc. and then reinstated him as soon as the truth came out. And the truth wasn't favorable towards his ex whatsoever!
He's allegedly been suffering from severe anxiety, depression and probably trust issues ever since and I can't blame him.
Why tho? That's not mentioned
Probably because of everything that happened at the end of last year?

That's odd, if he wanted to take a break, then he wouldn't appear in Sad Tropics. Hope he is fine and that his mental health didn't get worse in the meantime,,,
He is a good actor, he will get many roles anytime, a break is well deserved and it will be good for him to heal.
It's the only film he wasn't released from and they said it's because they couldn't find a replacement actor. I'm sure that if he dropped out he would have to pay a penalty which with all of the other lost work his company may not be able to handle.

I was thinking that he was prepared to come back, worked on the project, and then his mental health deteriorated, and decided to pause his activities. At least is good that his agency doesn't push him.

Yeah it was a lot going on, I think this one tried to get someone else to take the role but he ended up being unavailable and they couldn't push back filming any longer.
