Records is like a sum of everything. Singles, albums, downloads and I think equivalent album sales through streaming... the thing is these are hardly reliable without source. Hopefully chartmasters makes an study on more kpop groups besides bts, they seem to have a nice methodology

But tbh while records is used as a term it is not accurate at all. You can look up on wikipedia how 2ne1 supposedly sold well over 60m records, but they are counting korean downloads which were really cheap back then. It really is a terrible metric

Wikipedia itself says the numbers might be from non reliable sources and that they are "claimed sales", basically warning you to take with a grain of salt.

i believe when come to record, SNSD and 2ne1 had more. But of course, no official sources since Gaon started in 2010
