quite frankly HYBENGG isn’t ending anyone

  • i always laugh when i read that

    1. HYBE stans are almost dead breed they hate each other. TXT BTS and Enhypen fans beef on the daily

    2. The Izone girls they stole were Sakura and Chaewon. Both aren’t that popular in Korea and while yes Sakura is relevant in Japan that’s not enough to make you a top gg

Chaewon completely dipped too and lost her hype

The sales will be good at least but don’t expect them to be super popular in Korea

    Approved the thread.
  • I agree, but you never know. We shall see.

  • I agree ill be surprised if they have gfriend level of vocalists tbh. But let's see if min heejins can make their debut interesting and sakura group is guaranteed success they got good vocalists and Japan relevancy I'm sure Korea will pay them attention too.

  • Popularity is not predictable.

  • Isn't it a bit early to decide how successful a group is going to be when that group doesn't really exist yet?

But everyone is saying hybengg will end everyone. They'll be the best. No group will stand a chance.

  • I don't think the girl group with sakura will hit it big.

People should watch out for ADORNGG AND ilandgg instead. Those are the two groups that will end your faves

  • Just the fact that this thread was created means they got you shaking in your boots. lmao

  • Gfriend were heralded as BTS's sister group once Big Hit bought out their company, and it did nothing for them. There was no boost to their career. And now they're done. And they were a genuinely good group.

For HYBEGG, they won't be able to coast on company. A lot of female BG stans are almost psychopathic in how they see any girls/women who might be breathing the same air as their boys. There will inevitably be some "let's stan them so we can end Blackpink finally oh my god why won't they just end" style support. But ultimately the group will have to be good to succeed. HYBE makes good songs (though the good songs have been successfully swerving BTS for the past couple years) and Sakura has a strong fanbase.

(That's another thread really but I'm confused by her popularity. She looks like a big eared mouse. To me. Other people see a goddess and not someone who looks like she sells office supplies and I respect that.)

We'll see I guess. My prediction is they'll wind up a B+ group.

  • Sakura is not popular in sk?bruh she placed first how many times in pd and people riot when wonyoung placed first in the last ep instead of her cause she's the most popular. She's also the most popular internationally and in japan.Chaewon is also popular in japan.

PD48 was in 2018. That was ages ago and it’s time to move on. Sakura’s popularity in Korea vanished as well as J-line and you know it if you were a Wiz*one too. Mnet fucked her over with putting her at the back all the time and she. lost all her hype there.

The only country Sakura really has is Japan and she has a good fanbase in China but are they still there? We don’t know. Either way the sales are bound to be good for those countries but you can’t be a top girl group if you’re a little nugu in Korea. Chaewon might’ve lost some of her fans and has to start with a weaker start.

They will do well, but don’t expect them to come outdo groups like Aespa.

  • Ehhh.... I think as long as sakura still has her japanese fanbase the group will be fine. Sales can come from china and touring in japan. Most kpop groups, even gg, don't have amazing touring numbers in SK for long. Once a gg fades they are really forgotten apart from maybe snsd. We all saw with twice that japan is really where you want to have a loyal fanbase. SK popularity wavers and isn't stable. If you want to makes money you need a secondary market. I don't think hybe cares too much about being popular as they do about making money.

  • i actually agree. But the main reason for that is hybe don't know how to hype their new groups properly like big 3. But we'll see because this is min heejin we're talking about.
