It's not only commercials, kdramas are notorious for their obvious PPLs.

I mean, yeah, the people who are sponsors who paid for their commercials to air during the show wouldn't have theirs aired anymore but I guess the tv company would just put something else there. Like trailers for other shows or for their station etc.
