It's not entirely, but let's not act as if it's irrelevant, when Jennie got her beer Cass cf they literally said they've seen her appeal and how she topped the brand raking many times, also sm tweeting about it on Aespa's account when Karina hit nr1 and many other idols acknowledging the data. So while it isn't 100% accurate, it surely gets perceived as important by the idols themselves and the brands they work with.
