What're your thoughts on company pushing a certain member more than others?

  • Every company does that in kpop, some would deny it but its true. I don't like it tbh every member works hard and deserves equal opportunities but if its the case similar to Hani I'm okay with it.

  • if it’s someone that blew up honestly it’s fine

like Eunwoo and Astro . it’s not up to the company who is in demand and who isn’t

if it’s blatant even tho they have the same level of popularity at first it’s annoying even tho i get why a company would push the member with the most potential according to them

sometimes it doesn’t work tho . like karina , min in miss a , yeonjun

  • It's a part of marketing strategy for me, seems like some company want to create the group representation image in certain member. Usually taken from the GP demand just to introduce the group name, after the group name pretty well known, most company will push group agenda.

For example, Hyunjin SKZ in early days era. JYP really send hyunjin in most chance they got to promote the group. But after the "scandal", he still got promotion chance as usual since he holds a lot of fans but JYP tone it down and balanced it with push Minho, Felix and Chan in the front line recently.

But as skz started to grow, they focus on group agenda nowadays.

So I guess some company just doing their job at promoting their artist. I think FOTG or visual are pushed to be the group's appeal that their additional position is as fans attractor.

In the long run, after people get to know the group name, it started to depend on the other group members' charm as well. Are they attracted enough to made people convince to stan the group or not.

Same thing like Astro, Eunwoo was the one carried on introducing the groups, but Moonbin and Sanha's charm got people attracted as well then the company saw the chance to expand the promotion market, now both got MC and collabs opportunity. Meanwhile, Miss A or Exid, seems like their group dynamics is not really balanced or other members are not appealed enough to GP.
