Offline Concerts are starting to be canceled in Korea because of the rise of Covid cases

people who read my previous posts about covid in 'current events' section

probably know that Korea was used to 1000-1500 new cases per day

yet they were naming it 'high'

but last month really hit them hard after dropping most of restrictions

for them it's a shock, and something that most of us around the world experienced during 1st or 2nd covid wave

but for them it's all new to have 7000 new cases per day

even if you look at graphs you see that spike...

Here there’s a crisis meeting in the government tonight as we have 99999 cases (the media mentions this exact number) so tomorrow we’ll see. Everyone is rushing for the booster and kids being vaccinated. But no one dies at home or can’t be admitted to free hospitals.

it's only 1 concert canceled I think according to the trans?

However, due to the strengthening of social distancing, a problem arose as indoor sports facilities were only allowed to operate until 9:00 p.m.

TWICE's concert is scheduled for 2 hours and 30 minutes, but the performance on the 24th starts at 7:30 pm, which violates the time limit due to social distancing.

The performances on the 25th and 26th start at 6 pm and 5:30 pm, respectively, so there is no problem.

But yes the covid cases in Korea are rising fast

Its covid cases are barely high though.. other countries would be back to normal at these rates.

Reading some of the comments here, Korea seem to be passing some Laws that make no sense.

They also passed the Nth Room prevention Law, which blurs out online images and videos on public social media platforms and Group chats until they were checked by an organization (through a filter system) if these images contain illegal stuff.

Where it makes no sense? Well it only applies to local social media platforms and not Discord or Telegram where this Nth Room scandal took place…….they are now monitoring peoples social media activity at places where sharing illegal pictures and videos are less likely to happen… now Koreans call the government out on their nonsense… LOL
