Out of 4th gen groups, name 1 bg and 1 gg that have the potential to become huge

  • Currently there are many top 4th gen groups that are somewhat on the same level of success. Some of them are better in sales, others in digital charting, some have bigger fandom, others have more popularity and so on and so on.

Out of the current 4th gen groups, which two groups (bg and gg) seem to have the most potential? Which are those two groups that will be on top and why do you think so?

    Let's discuss

  • BG:

    Stray Kids.

    They have EVERYTHING.

    • talent and skill at everything imaginable
    • everyone is an all-rounder but also has at least one speciality
    • great performances including great stage presence and being able to sing live very well
    • good, diverse music (including hype bangers, heartfelt and relatable emotional songs, experimental tracks, and so much more) that appeals to a wide range of people yet has an unique Stray Kids sound regardless of the genre
    • unique and innovative, being self-producing plays a huge role in that
    • every member has an unique voice and also faces and personalities that are very easy to learn even as a new stay
    • 2 native English speakers help with international popularity

Plus they got where they are with rather minimal promotions compared to other bgs from big companies, and minimal attention for being big3. They have an undeniable star factor.

GG: honestly I'm not sure, STAYC have BEP, Aespa had a huge hit already, Itzy had some nice achievements too

  • I am op but wanted to make a separate post from my main one to not intertwine with it

I think for ggs aespa. They have the domestic popularity, the hype, the good charting and good sales, if they grow their fandom more and grow more popular internationally their spot as one of the leaders will be secured. They already surpassed all the other 4th gen girl groups and if they manage to do better than hybengg and ygngg then nobody will stop them

For the bgs, enhypen. Out of all the current biggest 4th gen boy groups, they're the ones with fastest growth. They're the strongest in sales, next year they'll probably surpass everyone's overall sales (4th gen), they already had a viral song, their spotify stats are good, their music and performances attract many people, they have a big and stable dedicated fandom and as we know, for boy groups those with biggest and most dedicated fandom succeed

  • For ggs, aespa rn but I don't think they will be the most popular internationally. Also the some of the biggest wildcards haven't even debuted yet (ygngg ,adorngg even jypn) so the gg competition is not settled imo.

About bgs, I always thought it would be skz but this year en- has just shown unprecedented growth, imo they will lead the next gen and even skz has a good chance.

  • I agree with some of your points. One thing is I wouldn't say everyone is an all-rounder.

  • Enhypen and aespa easily. They’ve done the bare minimum but for some reason they’re so popular I guess they just have the IT factor. Stray kids I just can’t connect with them I find them boring. Txt are ok but they don’t stand out and itzy are meh great performers tho but that’s really it…..

  • I agree with some of your points. One thing is I wouldn't say everyone is an all-rounder.

    • all of them dance well, have good stage presence, and sing live
    • all of them can sing at least okay and are stable
    • the theoretically vocal only members have rapped too on several occasions and they're definitely okay

Aces, if your standard is 3RACHA maybe not everyone, but they're definitely all rounders imo

  • praying for my faves to hit big 🙏
