I have a gut feeling Kep1er’s debut postponement is related to Xiaoting

  • you can ask the same question to all Chinese idols who left kpop. Why wait until after debut when they already suffered a lot as trainees.

Because they need to get their name out first, it’s about the money as much as it is about comfort

U really think mnet will let her go just like that cause she doesn't want to be in the group anymore? When most likely she has already signed a contract.

she will stay in the group until their contract expires then she will go back to China it’s not rocket science barely any foreigners stay in Korea but the postponement of their debut has nothing to do with her not wanting to be in the group anymore if she didn’t want it she would have left earlier but guess what she didn’t

Obviously they wouldn't let her go easily. Xiaoting wouldn't attempt this unless she already had powerful Chinese backing (which in her case wouldn't be that difficult, considering how other kpop Chinese idols were successful). My guess, if this ever happened, is that she would try to work out a more favorable deal for her. Where she can start doing Chinese activities sooner than initially stipulated, in addition to more support for her in general. The GP999 trainees said that Mnet rarely provided translators, so it's something she'd definitely want to ask for more.

Well we don't actually know how kep1er will go about solo activities. So maybe she'll be allowed to promote in China or not. But i really do not think they postponed the debut because of this. It's a far reach atm.

  • I don't think it's because of Xiaoting but I'm not gonna lie, the staff got covid excuse does sound like BS. Kpop companies are about their money. Why would they delay a whole debut, and miss the MAMA hype, because of one sick staff member when all the other staff members and the idols themselves have tested negative? Technically, how is that really preventing kep1er from debuting? It just doesn't add up to me.

The least they could have done is releasing the album and then don’t promote on music shows...until January it’s not the best idea but it’s still better than delaying the album now their sales will decrease because we aren’t getting anything until the end of December

it’s unfair only one staff got tested positive and now the girls have to pay for it
