LVMH announces Virgil Abloh has passed away from cancer.

I decided to move this to Western Entertainment, as Virgil Abloh was much more linked to those in the western entertainment industry.

This is devastating news to me as someone who followed his work from when he first broke out to his final days. He played a significant role in shaping streetwear culture, including what many K-pop idols would wear. A whole decade, at that. Other designers would draw inspiration from his work. Of course, it's not for everyone, but there's no doubt his hard work and creative spirit over the years is highly commendable. Perhaps most importantly, he broke down the class and cultural barrier often seen with the fashion industry.

It pains me to find about this. I remember reading the news about his decision to cancel events to prioritize his well-being. Maybe this was the reason behind it. Whether it was Louis Vuitton, Pyrex, or Off-White, this was a man who gave it his all and carried out his own vision.

He was. They were both interns at Fendi when they started out in the fashion industry; this was a humbling experience for them and proved to be noteworthy for their future success. They both had similar goals and remained in close contact with each other through the years.
