(Seoul = Yonhap News) ... HAN SEO HEE (HSH), a former singer trainee (K-pop) who was indicted without detention (No Jail) on charges of (usage) administering drugs (illegal LSD) during her Court Probation Period, after being released from a Probation Office (Aug. 2020, as HSH *Hair Test* by N.I.S.I Lab showed NO ILLEGAL DRUGS for her), was finally Arrested (assigned Prison punishment of 1.5 Years duration).

On the 17th, Judge Lee In-soo of the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court sentenced HAN SEO HEE to one year and six months in prison and arrested her in Court (immediately).

When asked by the Judge whether (HSH) she wanted to say anything during her Court Arrest, HAN SEO HEE replied -->

"I won't run away. What are you doing?"

(HSH, at Judge instruction) She then moved to the defendant's waiting room and swore "(Bleep Bleep)" , which was said to have been heard by nearby audiences.

HAN SEO HEE was accused of taking methamphetamine (LSD) at a Buddhist statue in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do in early June (2020) last year, during her Court Probation Period (dating from Sept. 2017, of 4 Years duration).

HAN SEO HEE was previously charged with smoking marijuana (violation of the Narcotics Control Act) and was sentenced to three years in Prison, converted instead to a four-year suspended sentence (No Prison, but Probation) in September 2017.

HAN SEO HEE (Age 26, female), a former singer trainee who was accused of taking (illegal) drugs during her Court Probation Period, was sentenced to One-Year-and-6-Months in Prison (No Probation).

Judge Lee In-soo of the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court held a sentencing hearing on HAN SEO HEE, who was (previously) indicted without detention (No Jail) on charges of violating the Law on Drug Management, and sentenced her to Prison.

HAN SEO HEE was put under Court Custody (Holding Jail) on the same day (17th) for sentencing.

Judge Lee said --> "HAN SEO HEE denies the charges in the case, claiming that the location and timing of the drug administration (usage) were not specified in the Prosecution's Indictment," and added, "However, as we have checked, there is no error in the Prosecution's Indictment."

The Judge added --> "HAN SEO HEE denied the results of the urine test, saying that the urine test at the Probation Office accidentally left a paper cup in the toilet and found that it was positive," she said ... "However, it was confirmed that the Probation Officer did not hear the sound of the paper cup being omitted at the time, and he took the paper cup right on the spot." ... (So, Judge determines no error in Urine Testing procedure).

The Judge continued --> "The National Institute of Scientific Investigation's (N.I.S.I) appraisal also did not say that it (Urine Sample) was mixed with toilet water, and it is even more difficult to believe that the water supply (toilet) contains amphetamine," she said ... "HAN SEO HEE's urine test has already confirmed that it contains more than 300 nanograms of metabolome mixed with amphetamine (LSD)."

The Judge further stated --> "HAN SEO HEE's claim that she mixed it (Urine Sample) with others during the urine test was also made in consideration of various circumstances, such as committing the same kind of crime during the probation period ... (And) saying that 2 out of 3 people who received the urine test at the same time were men, versus female HAN SEO HEE."

The Prosecutor warned that HAN SEO HEE could run away (so, flee from S.Korea), and requested an immediate Arrest Warrant (for HAN SEO HEE).

When the Judge asked --> "Do you have anything you want to say?" ...

HAN SEO HEE was suddenly excited and even became verbally abusive in Court.

HAN SEO HEE replied as --> "I don't think so, I'm not going to run ... I'm not going to be Arrested ??? ... Judge ? ... What are you doing now ? ... You are issuing an Arrest Warrant (for me) ???" she asked.

The Judge replied as --> "If you are not satisfied with the ruling, appeal to the Court (of Appeals) according to the appropriate procedure. Since this Court found you guilty (HSH), get into (the defendant's waiting room)."

But (HSH) HAN SEO HEE replied as -->

"Judge, I don't care ... What are you doing?" she asked ...

And then she stated as -->

"Oh, '(Bleep Bleep)' Really" and left for the defendant's waiting room.

HAN SEO HEE's voice, which makes a fuss (noise) even in the defendant's waiting room, was so high (loud) that the Court Room could hear it.

HAN SEO HEE was indicted in October 2016 with T.O.P (Age 34, Choi Seung-hyun), a member of the K-pop group Big Bang, on charges of inhaling marijuana four times at T.O.P's home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. And was sentenced to three years in Prison, converted instead to four years of Probation (No Prison) in September 2017.

In the case of a defendant who was indicted and sentenced for (illegal) drug charges, he or she is regularly tested, once per month, for (illegal) drug-positive under Probation Rules by a Probation Office.

However, HAN SEO HEE was detained (placed in a Holding Jail) at the Probation Office on the July 20th, after a Urine Test on July 7, 2020 showed positive reactions (illegal drugs present) to psychotropic drugs such as (LSD) methamphetamine and amphetamine.

In response (to the failed drugs test for HSH), the Prosecutors Office filed a request to cancel the suspension of execution of imprisonment for HAN SEO HEE (so, cancel her Probation situation). And the Court conducted a closed-door interrogation on July 29th of the same month (Year 2020).

HAN SEO HEE (HSH) argued for an error in the Urine Test (procedure), and in fact, the (more accurate) *Hair Test* of the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (N.I.S.I Lab) showed NO ILLEGAL DRUGS present for HSH. And so her Court Probation could be maintained (and HSH was released from Holding Jail, August 2020, after spending 20 days there).

This (current) Seoul Central District Court, however, overturned the previous Court decision (Year 2020) that had suspended the Prison sentence. And assigned Prison punishment of One Year plus 6 Months for HAN SEO HEE.
