SM is the best company an idol can debut in.

  • I agree especially if you're visual in sm you're going to have a lot of opportunities in acting field.

  • I do agree.

Also, "Company stan" has nothing to do with the facts.

  • imaging being a company stan. lmao

Most the things mentioned in this thread are actual facts and have nothing to do with being a company stans. One has to be an anti blinded with hatred to deny that SM idols are more likely to have a stable career in the long run. Look at JYP for comparison, 99% of their idols don't even renew with the company after the first contract let alone have solo careers after their groups disband or slow down.

  • but once you're out of the company, they make sure your career is over in Korea. So I definitely wouldn't say it's the best company either.

No, those who got this treatment are usually the ones that ended their contract in a bad term with sm (like JYJ). Snsd members for example are promoting just fine and they're even still allowed to have reunion with each other here and there.

  • You are guaranteed to have awards, super visuals and steady fandom at debut if you come from SM. They are also good with promotions

  • Yea and sm always make sure u get a solid solo carer too whether in acting or singing. They push their actors alot too.

  • And ironically it is not SM artists that benefited from normalising lipsynching, since all SM groups are very proficient live singers. It's rather groups from certain other companies that should thank LSM day and night for normalising lipsynching and saving them the embarrassment of showing their real singing skills in the regular :pepe-smug:

which group or acts are you referring to? We're in anon., so spill it :pepe-hype:

  • Well, of all the big companies SME have the most idols and groups extending their contract beyond 10 years, so that's saying something.

Most of their 2nd gen groups have the majority of their members still signed up and active, they even have some 1st gen idols like Boa and Kangta still around.

But what's more important, the individual members get lots of opportunities to work and build up their solo careers in all sorts of fields, even in their first 7 years, and that's more than can be said for many other groups and companies.
