🇰🇷 Rainbow's Korean Learning Journey 🇰🇷

So... after watching Jeongyeon's birthday vlive (and enjoying it), I was really eager to watch it yet sad that I couldn't understand it just yet.

So it inspired me to go back into learning Korean!

I started with looking up the Korean alphabet and I figured if I could get the alphabet and corresponding symbols realized, that I would be able to pronounce and speak the romanization.

So this is for me to record my journey but anyone is allowed to spectate and it is actually much appreciated! ❤️

Stardate 110521, Log-1

I've began my journey by looking up a chart of the Korean alphabet and studying that.

I've then been looking up Korean phrases in Hangul that only tells me what the English translation is and practicing doing the romanization for the words by writing or typing what I come up with while looking back and forth at the hangul and the alphabet chart.

Then speaking the word outloud or mentally

This is already helping with some of my memorization of some of the syllables and a little with my pronunciation

My Next Step:

• To use flash cards, either physical or digital, in an attempt to memorize the syllables in the Korean alphabet to their English translations.
• Watch more K-Drama, Korean reality/variety shows with my faves and keep listening to Korean music, of course.

I'm not sure yet how often I'll update this, maybe when I change methods or feel a breakthrough in my learning or at a certain time all the time...🤔

And if you ever are studying something, I recommend Quizlet.com, they have flashcards and methods for studying and memorizing, you can create your own or search for a topic and it's helped me on so much school tests for real 🥰
