im really scared for itzy

i feel like JYP is purposefully giving them songs which will not appeal to the general public so that more people pay attention to jypn.

They have no clue what to do with them , NiziU has Japan twice still popular in Korea and JYPN is looking to be jype attempt at a girl crush BP aespa clone.

I hope not itzy deserves better

JYP is giving ITZY songs that appeal to their fanbase. Their sound (to me) has remained consistent. Like I hear it, and I'm like, "that's Itzy".

Personally, I don't want them to change their sound too much to appeal to the gp since what they have now matches their identity.

even the members themselves want to change up their concept tho, also their sound has not remained consistent. they started off singing about self love then it switched to whatever MITM was (an absolute bop by the way) to singing about a dude

I said the same thing a long time ago. Jyp has their mind made up about Itzy they will be put aside and given bad to average songs and less frequently, while Jypn will be given the better treatment. It’s not difficult to see what they’re doing.

If Itzy could match or come close to Twice’s success in their 3rd year or Miss a or Wonder girls I think JYP would have more faith in them but unfortunately they haven’t and surprising to say itzy are the worst performed big 3 girl group since gen 2

I'm not talking about their lyrics. I personally think it's fine they have variety in that. What I'm talking about is the instrumentals and the way the songs are arranged... there is variety, yes. Obviously mitm does sound different from Loco, but their is a distinct style in this process that shines through. They use similar elements that make them an "Itzy" song.

They can change their concept without losing all of their sound anyways.

And cool, the members want to change their concept. That's fine, but does that mean they want to change to appeal to the gp? Perhaps they have something different in mind. Changing their concept does not guarantee an appeal to the gp.

I said it and i will say it gain Itzy is what MissA was to Wonder girls they will never be as popular as Twice and they will never beat the success they had at debut they're literally taking the MissA path and slowly JYP will push the members individually and he'll stop caring about the group once one of the members hit it big

jypn doesn't seem that much more promising tbh, so if jyp are really doing that on purpose they're stupid fr.

Also am I the only one that feels the jypn’s hype is very low like there’s nothing special about the group for them to leave itzy, I have watched all the members even the so called visual isn’t as strong as Yuna after looking at her, and am not a huge fan of Yuna’s looks but she’s prettier than that girl ,she just hyped because she looks like tzuyu and Sana s. The members all feel similiar . Anyways if jypn is what jyp wants to push, they should push Ryujin and Yuna individually , those two can’t gotto waste especially Yuna who seems to be popular with the bare minimum
