why do you care? and why are you comparing songs from 5 years ago to songs now? you cant compare next level impact to cheer up impact when the times are completely different.

It's quite easy actually. Kpoppies are a bunch of normies with no real taste of their own. So when a group they're interested in (for superficial reasons obviously) tops the charts, they feel validated. They feel good. They feel like they have the upper ground. Hence lots of arrogance, lots of bragging, lots of childishness and pettiness.

I wrote this in another thread...
everything is relative not just in kpop...something only has value if it's seen in comparison to something else...
ie. If someone said they scored 90% in a test one might think that's great but that changes if I said that the class average was 95%...it also changes again if I said the person previously scored no higher than 75% in the same subject...
or in kpop if I said a group sold 30K albums doesn't mean anything in a vacuum it's more relevant if one adds that they previously sold no more than 20K for example...
