help with growing out hair

so I'm a guy who decided this was the peak age for growing out my hair and so far I've grown it up to this kinda length

but my god it is so thick especially at the top

gets messy so easily

girls how do yall manage such long hair

or is female hair not as thick at the centre?

cause it feels like a giant fluffy bush

I'm a girl with really long hair. I don't experience what you're describing in the OP, I think the other commenter is right and it's just an awkward period at that length. If you want long hair I would recommend just trying to wait it out

i do apply conditioner but not too often
