Why is it the talented/popular producers in KPOP are mostly rappers?

You don't seem to know many producers in Kpop if you think that is the case... or are you referring only to producers who are also idols?

As opposed to, say, Yoo Young Jin and Kenzie of SM entertainment (one of whom sang R&B and the other never performed at all). Or folk singer Lee Soo Man. Or dance soloist JYP. Yang Hyun Suk was a dancer too. Teddy Park was a rapper, I'll give you that. There are also a ton of talented music producers today who never step on the stage (e.g. Sweetune, HYBE's PDogg and Slow Rabbit, JYP's earattack, collapseone, and Shim Eun Jee, etc.).

Because rappers tend to write lyrics so they're more inclined to also produce, but that's not always the case, Woozi from SVT is not a rapper but is a producer.
