Have you ever tried dopamine detox?

  • Do you feel like you spend 24/7 in internet and do nothing useful in your life? Sometimes I feel like I need change my life, but don't know where to start and end up reading social media and watching Youtube all day long without doing anything creative.

  • Yeah. When I think I had enough of wasting time I do it but of course it's rare. Most of the few times I did it was amazing tbh. I suddenly got urges to do all kinds of stuff that never cross my mind when I'm online and accomplish far more than I usually do. And the smallest dopamine doses feel a lot more intense and rewarding than a whole day fueled by dopamine.

Other times though, I don't really accomplish anything and just sleep for the whole day.

It also sucks when you try to do it if you work for the whole day. You feel like you deserve to just relax and have fun, even you don't do anything productive.

If you're not used to a productive routine, don't have enough discipline or drive it gets really hard to be productive.

We end up commiting to so many unecessary stuff that take our time and that we think it's important, but the truth is there will always be only few things that are actually essential for a good living.

  • I would start making a schedule.. in your schedule you can make time for your well-being.. for your spiritual identity.. work.. completing chores.. exercise!! Reading and spending time with loved one.. helping your parents..

It's all about effort.. we make an effort..

Try to adopt a good sleep schedule if you can..

Daily Focused learning moments.. to increase your knowledge and understanding (best during dawn.. the breeze has secrets to tell you don't go back to sleep..)

Reflection of moments in the day.. improve on your foolish behaviour (moments of anger or following petty inclinations) by committing to better behaviour and then doing it..

Journaling your thoughts? This may be useful if you find you're becoming emotionally charged up about something..

    Hope that helps. number-one
