- JYP GGs don’t have the furthest gap between their debuts. The furthest is Miss A to Twice which was 5 years (and even then it would’ve been 4 had 6mix happened). Otherwise it’s generally 3-4 year gaps, and Itzy will be 3 when the new GG comes out
- Lily M has been training since barely before Twice debut. She’s waited til this group likely because the concept will fit her & the other members. If JYP had no close plans on debuting another GG until the 5th Gen starts, she would’ve just debuted in Itzy
- Yuna still has a fanbase due to being on Nizi Project, so it’s best to strike as soon as possible
- Twice are the nations girl group & are the main money makers for JYP as of late, even being the best selling Korean GG in history. But they’re still a 6 year old group, so anything can happen & Itzy aren’t exactly the type of group that would carry what Twice has, nor were they made to be that (meanwhile NiziU kinda we’re). That’s like expecting a group like F(x) to carry off where Girls Generation put considering they were made in different demographical formats
And before the “take care of the artist you have” brigade comes in, how about Y’ALL take care of them. Be the same ones ready to list an entire companies artist list when a new group is announced, but can’t name 20% of the members represented within the groups let alone a single song by them lmfao
