With people continuing to get infected I personally can't help but wonder how long it'll be before we've got a variant on our hands that the vaccines are powerless against.
Numbers in Europe have gone down significantly of course, but it's summer so this was to be expected. The numbers went down last year as well - completely without the help of vaccinations - which kind of makes me think that we should probably withhold judgement for now and not celebrate early. We won't know how effective all of this really is for a while yet.
