To be fair, no other gg has a Michael flippin' Jordan. So it's not enough to explain CLC's lack of success. One might point out a series of bad timings in their comebacks, it doesn't lessen i-dle's achievements in the slightest.
I'm a Cheshire, so i'm not gonna diss CLC. But despite solid songs, bops even, people were just not interested. Not enough.
Why is everyone falling into this narrative and ignoring the elephant in the room? Gidle is successful because they had soyeon. Yes luck and timing played a role but no one can deny her genius level talent in songwriting, composing, producing, visionary/concepts, stages and performances of a 19 year old on debut. Her most critical factor is her attitude and unwillingness to give up.. girl doesn’t cry when she fails or criticize she get more motivated. Who matched her output in last 2.5 years? 2/3x gidle cb, SM and Riot collabs ever single year since debut. Gidle is successful in spite of cube...cuz of their talent and genius leader deal with it!
Like Alex said as well no one is denying G-Idle's success because of Soyeon - that girl is a genius I've said it plenty of times she's got GD levels of talent.
I've said is elsewhere CLC is to G-Idle what Kodak was when the digital camera came out. If you were an employee of Kodak you can't really blame anyone else but Kodak for what happened but you're still pissed at the digital camera for causing you to lose your job.
