Whats your opinion on the French governments decisions about hijabs/niqabs

Did they ban hijabs!!! Did they lose their minds?

I think it's stupid.

Let people wear what they want.

But then again, no country has 100% freedom of speech or expression

Their religion? France is a secular state, has no official religion and is supposed to celebrate all religions. Do you know what else French customs include? Beheading rich people.

Luckily France has a Court of Cassation, and this will most likely be shot down.

You are the one who suggested banning aspects of a specific religion due to "secularism", I just applied your attitudes to every religion, as a secular state treats every religion the same (or, should treat every religion the same).

Islam and Islamic expression should be protected in France, like every other religion.

I can understand banning niqabs cause in most places its illegal to just cover up all your face, I guess the hijab case is the same, only banned when you hide most of your face with it.

I think they only want to ban niqab with the only real argument being that it's impossible to recognize someone who wears a niqab for authorities (which is dumb in itself cz masks are allowed and you won't recognize someone who wears a mask with something on his head. The other argument is the origin of niqab with the whole feminism shithole and not only its dumb cz the girls want to wear it, it goes against the very important freedom of speech/thinking which is very important for french
