Why Yeri raps in high pitched voice when her natural voice is much lower?

A lot of kpop companies make their idols sing/rap higher than their actual voice is. I am guessing it is because a lot of people tend to like higher voices.

I've seen this in many groups. I wish K-pop companies stopped doing that.

i don't like when producers force idols to sing in uncomfortable manners like Yeri and Momo

Singing and speaking voice are vastly different, that maybe how she prefers her singing voice to sound like. SM is the last company with whom i’d accuse of “forcing” vocals to someone. Like, if you notice their male singers too. Taeyong’s singing is also “higher” pitched compared to his rap and talking voice, and that’s fine.
