Kep1er is really popular in Japan, they can easily sell out 10 maybe even 15k arenas there. The problem here is that Hip Pop Princess was smaller survival show, with smaller number of contestants, and it wasn't broadcasted episode by episode on MNet youtube channel. They didn't even broadcast finale live on youtube which for me was a weird move.
It will all depend on songs, if they will have good songs and manage to chart or have some spectacular MV that Koreans will like then group will do well. Just hope it's not another EL7Z UP

It's going to depend on how good the music is. I think not many are aware about the group because there wasn't much discussion about the show on social media tbh. I felt there was more discussion with EL7Z UP than this survival show. Maybe I wasn't in the spaces to make it appear on my algorithms.
I think what could help this group is being hip hop focused will separate themselves from your average kpop groups. I also think the popularity of Allday Project should helps this group out. I think it shows people are willing to give hip hop groups a chance in kpop and they might want to look at this group as an alternative. Based on videos I've watched the girls are very skilled but at the end of the day music and concepts will determine their popularity. They need a strong debut song and I believe they have chances to go viral based on skills.

They’ll probably be lower tier in 5th gen. The survival show was a flop in korea so I doubt they’ll do well there and even if the music is good, they’ll be lucky to be kep1er level. The hype for them is practically nonexistent and the only ones interested in the group are the small group of fans they already have.
Sorry if this sounds harsh but it’s the truth.

mnet media played the show as creating the “izone of the hip hop world” because the show had japanese and korean members.
imo mnet are nothing but trolls bcs they could actually create another izone (with the success and sales) if they did another actual gg survival but they haven’t and never will. they’ll just keep doing experiments like this show that’ll end up flopping.
