I will present my review of each song as a ranking.
I actually see myself listening to this again. I like any and all afrobeats no matter who sings it so I'd like it anyway but specifically how they executed it. I find these types of songs easier to digest because there is literally no way you can go wrong with afrobeats. Might be their best song to date. 9/10.
7/10. It was good until the papi line which threw me off.. then it simply got progressively worse during the outro. I'm not sure how they went from a chill and relaxing song to upbeat, "white girl dancing" vibes but I hate it. The transition into the outro + the outro itself felt very much like they didn't know how to end the song, so they just did whatever and called it a day. I find the song to be all around the place which, i like, but not always.
3. Look At Me
"I like the way you look at me, look at me, ADP" I like what they did with that and is the only memorable part of the song. 6.5/10. And no, im not even kidding, i cant remember how the rest of the song goes
anyways it was good. mid-type good but still good. the verses fell very flat partly due to the mostly nonsensical lyrics. im the typa person that will always consider the different meanings to lyrics but this song? i really cant picture how any of it makes sense. i might be too harsh but idc.
4. Where You At
Woochan carried the song. 5/10. I know y'all be saying Annie has an addictive tone and sure but is that all there is to her rapping? Anyway, I like her better when she talk sings (Famous intro) as opposed to full on rap. She also sounds better in a deeper tone. I dislike the contrast between Woochan having a fuller voice as opposed to Annie sounding distant. Sounds like an attampt at a smoky tone of voice gone awkward. Next.
5. Hot
A certain someone said I might like it and sure. It was okay. 4.5/10. I dislike the random repeated "shit" because it sounds forced. But I actually like the chorus + how Bailey sounds. "Stop, 'cause I'm a hot motherfucker"?! I know Mona and superyeah think so too
6. Medusa
Such diabolical wastage of a good instrumental. I give it a 4/10. "See me, Medusa" got annoying really quickly and his rap did not make me go
for once so that's good I guess. One thing I like about the song is the hook and the fact that those same lyrics were in Wicked. I much better prefer Youngseo's execution, though.
monalisalove Tarzzan should try singing. I might like him slightly more, then.
Y'all agree or disagree?
kkkk
