Anyway, it seems like people in Taiwan have very special feelings toward Tzuyu, and it's nice to see that TWICE can finally promote in the Chinese-speaking region again

    Tzuyu must have been so stressed.

    They were in a lose/lose situation. Unfortunately the outcome that happened was most likely the best result. It's sad looking back because you can see that moment made her lose her confidence and had to slowly regain it. Also, think she would've been a bigger star if it wasn't for it. At least she's shining now and is having a tremendous year.

    Lol, I didn't even understand the Yuqi thing or what they are trying to say.


    And yeah, Tzuyu was still pretty big even after this, but JYPE definitely would have pushed her more individually. Thankfully, Twice was able to blow up as a group not soon after.

    I was confused too because she hasn’t really done anything mean to Shuhua. I guess they were trying to imply that


    Yeah, timing is everything but lucky it didn’t affect group blowing up like it did. Especially with tensions rising after that between the countries. I think if it happens any later they would be in a lot of trouble due to external factors


    As for Tzuyu, it really felt they were scared to push her more because of it . Luckily she’s getting stuff now but felt Tzuyu should be having so much more. It just felt odd with a popular visual from a top group not having a bunch of brand deals and other opportunities . Usually in kpop that’s the recipe to having a lot of opportunities . At least stuff improved after the renewal and I think she gained a lot of confidence after her solo.

    Yeah. Tzuyu even had endorsement deals in China, but lost it due to the incident. I can't imagine how much they would have promoted her in Korea and China had all that not happened.

    Nah, JYP completely mishandled that entire situation and deserves every bit of criticism. He was too afraid of losing out on that sweet, sweet yuan to bother defending his teenage employee from a political attack, or even treating her with a modicum of respect. Then China banned the Kpop industry for a decade and he lost it all anyway. Joke's on him. Well, him and Tzuyu, whose career prospects never fully recovered and probably never will at this point. People forget just how popular she was at the time. What she's done this year still pales in comparison to what she could have been doing for the past nine years.
